Amazon.com Product Description The Poulan Pro 12-foot pole pruner features a powerful 31 cc engine and has a cutting capacity of 17 inches in width. Its automatic gear-driven oiler keeps the 8-inch bar and chain lubricated for long cutting sessions. Turn the pole saw into a string trimmer with the "Tap'N'Go" head attachment, which is included; with optional attachments, this pole pruner will also convert into an edger, line trimmer, blower, brushcutter/trimmer, and cultivator (attachments not included). It comes with a 2-year limited warranty.

Good tool February 3, 2010 Don L. Smith (Witter Springs, Ca., US) The first time I started the engine it was a bit balky, all other starts since have been very easy whether hot or cold.It runs well in any position.Burns very little fuel and the chain oiler works well. The clamp knob that secures the shaft extension for the pole trimmer works loose quite often and is the only defect that is obvious.A bit of thread locker fixes that.
I am pleased overall with the tool and would buy another.Shipping was very prompt. The price was very reasonable.
Adjust helps, if you know how October 3, 2009 Charles P. Guzis (Eugene, OR USA) I bought this pruner almost two years ago and was very disappointed with the results. While it would cut small limbs, it stalled often and could not handle anything larger than about an inch. I packed it up and put it in a corner of the garage and went back to my old manual pruner. With a shrug, I told myself that it didn't cost much (much less than the suggested price here) and after all, it was a Poulan.
Recently, I ran across it and decided to give it another try. Same results with a fresh tank of gas and barely two hours on the engine. I wondered if it might be the carburetor adjustment, but I couldn't find anything other than the idle speed adjustment. I googled around a bit and discovered that this model has tamper-proof carb adjustment screws (i.e., they're there, but you'll never get a screwdriver on one). Someone suggested using the end of a blue plastic crimp terminal over the end of the headless screws. Bingo! I rummaged around in my toolbox, found one and ten minutes later, the pruner ran like it should have. Plenty of power--I cut some 6" oak branches with no trouble at all. The trick is to let the saw do the work--don't press down hard or you will stall the engine.
You know, I think I'm actually beginning to like this thing!
Poulan Trimmer - NOT AS DESCRIBED September 22, 2009 Mickie Ryan (Central IL) Received timely. However, stated as new condition. Motor had obviously had gas previously run through it. Amazon would not accept as exception to return policy even though it was not stated as described! Would never take another chance at buying something like this product again.
Great little saw August 27, 2009 Calvin Morris (Middle Tennessee, United States) I use this saw a lot in the fall and winter to maintain the area around my farmstead. I like to keep all the low branches trimmed away so that the taller farm machinery isn't obstructed. I have an old dump truck that I use when trimming the higher branches. I can stand on top of the cab and reach most of the branches. When more reach is required, I have an eight foot stepladder that I put on top of the cab. Standing on the top step of the ladder, this saw does a great job reaching all but the highest branches. It's powerful and very fuel efficient.
Great machine July 3, 2009 Pete'ee (Orlando Fl) I bought this for the weed eater attachment, I will use the saw some but mostly the weed eater.
Shipped on time tracked it online, amazon used fedex.
arrived in orginal box so it was no wondering what it was.
No damage from shipping.
Started great, 2 pulls, but I did follow the instructions and the advice others gave here, push the priming button 6 times.
Weed eater attachement works great but just some getting used to with the angle and not a straight shaft, that is the only reason it is 4 and not 5 stars.
Saw worked good, I would stay that I used this for about 45-60 min and must of started and stoped it 4-5 times and I moved branches and changed attachments. After it was warm it started on first pull.
give it some gas before you tilt it upward to cut a branch, or it won't have the power.
Great machine works great,
